I used to really like Famous George's, but as their prices increase, the food quality decreases. case in point: last night, we ordered their buffalo chicken pizza. it was $15 to pick up. The pizza was a soggy mess! There were only 5 pieces of chicken on the whole thing (i counted). The hot flavor that used to be there is gone now. I don't know how a pizza gets soggy either. They are are the only nearby (walking distance) pizza and hoagie place that are open on Sundays so I can't give them one star. I know eventually we'll be back, but be forewarned!

LOVE their pizza! We had friends over last night who couldn't stop going on about how it was the best pizza they'd ever tasted. My particular favorite is the Chicken Pesto pizza and my husband's is the Sweet & Spicy (peppers, sausage and onions). They also have an awesome menu of 10 or so meal deals for $4, all of which are delicious. Whether you're looking for a delicious pizza or an inexpensive dinner Famous George's does it!

Hoagies are pretty good, the pita luch special is solid, the pizza is so-so I'd suggest picking up yr food, delivery tends to be on the slow side.

If I could rate a zero I would. This was by far the worst customer service I've encountered. Because of the language barrier and rudeness of the staff, I was unable to explain the obvious misunderstanding that occurred. I was yelled at, berated, and hung up on.

Not run very well. I live within ten minutes of this place and yet to have a delivery order arrive within 90 minutes. The food is ok, standard pizza shop for the area. But just the lack of any consideration for the customer, sends you ordering elsewhere.

I asked my good friend where the best pizza was in King of Prussia and he immediately replied, "Famous George's Pizzeria." I had never been to the restaurant and only called my order in on the phone to Tina, who was courteous and accommodating! I needed my pizzas the next day at exactly 11AM; delivery arrived on time and as promised. The delivery driver even took the time to carry the pizzas to the meeting room on the second floor. He was extremely pleasant too! The six assorted pizzas that I ordered for a meeting were a hit! There were twenty meeting attendees and everyone said they loved the pizza and asked where I purchased it. I think Famous George's has twenty new customers :)

Your typical suburban pizza parlour. The pizza is okay, but I usually prefer a thinner, more crispy crust a la Boston. They have the $3.50 lunch specials, which are pretty good deals. I usually got the 1/2 chicken or meatball sub, which were nicely prepared. The baked ziti w/sausage was a bit on the greasy side but still decent. This isn't my favorite place but it's cheap, convenient (within waking distance), and decent. I can't ask for more than that from a neighborhood pizza shop.

I've been eating here on and off for about 8 years now. though I find myself going less and less these days. As another reviewer mentioned and I have to agree with, the prices continue to increase and the quality continues to decrease. I do love their White Pizza, it is one of the best I've had (loaded with garlic, the way it should be!!!!). I used to like their French fries but they changed them over the last couple of years (must have gone to a cheaper brand ) and now they are just awful (even drenched in gravy and/or cheese they are still bad). Decent steaks and Hoagies though they seem to be getting smaller and smaller (i.e. the amount of meat in each).

An average local pizza place. Pizza and Stromboli are good. +1 that they have Cheese and Gravy Fries!

Hidden deep in a residential neighborhood, Famous George's is one of the better pizza spots in KOP. The pizza is pretty good and affordable (large pie starting at $10), though their stomboli's are what bring me back time and time again. Treat yourself to a bbq chicken (nice a hot, barbeque onion flavor), or a steak 'boli (like a cheesesteak wrapped up) - trust me, you'll be savoring the flavor and have enough food to last for two meals. Delivery can be spotty - I'd recommend take away.

I travel a lot and this might be the worst Italian food I have ever had on the entire east coast! Large portions, but that's because it may be the most bland and tasteless food I have ever eaten. They pour generic parmesan cheese powder over everything to try and give their food some hint of flavor, but to avail. Even the cheese they used is very lacking. The menu descriptions do not represent what is actually being served. It would have been better served to just give me the white wine that was supposed to be used in their sauce directly to me straight so I could have drank it and made this food palatable. This place may have been a hidden treasure back in the day, but it should just stay hidden from the public at this point. I ordered the following: Caesar salad (OK) Chicken Cacciatore (Bland, Greasy, and no flavor at all unless you like the taste of straight grease.) Fresh Sautéed Veggies (Disgusting) Don't waste your money or time.

Tasty, large slices of pizza that aren't overpriced. In fact, the slices are so large, you could wallpaper a room with them. (I like their sausage pizza, for anyone who cares.) Service is fine, I usually get pies to go from here (it's easy to get to and there's a ton of parking) typically for lunch. Not sure how famous George's really is, but I can say that they're worth at least a try. Had their takeout, too, and it's fine. The sausage penne is worth trying! I've heard their turkey hoagie is good, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

It would have been convenient if this was a good pizza joint since they deliver. It took almost an hour for them to deliver 1 medium pizza less than a mile away and the pizza was luke warm by the time it was at my door. Sadness ensued, but it is 10° outside. Beware they charge a $1.25 delivery fee. The crust is thickish and crunchy. Overall, I found the pizza to be with a lot on it, but saying very little. I had to douse it in salt, garlic and oregano to give enough flavor to warrant eating. I have not tried any of their other offerings, and sadly don't think I will. Back to Charlie's in Norristown for me. I also thought it's pricy what they charge for toppings. For a medium pie, $1.50 per topping. For 3 toppings, it's half the price of a medium pie! Whaaa..no thanks! They did have nice customer service on the phone. Person taking my order was friendly. They carry Pepsi products by the way, for all you Coke lovers out there. I really wanted to love this place, but the value and taste just isn't there.

The food is good. But they never pick up the phone. You can never count on them being open during the hours posted of their website.

Good local joint. Overall food is good wish he used more fresh over frozen ingredients.. But it's good to grab a pizza or hoagie.

The food's not bad Prices ok But, like too many other places, I avoid going where I see little attempt at preparing food with cleanliness and hygiene in mind\ They still have it all over dumpy Vitos. I'd feel safer eating off the street in a slum in India than that place

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
